“A mentor is not someone who walks ahead of us and tells us how they did it.
A mentor is someone who walks alongside us to guide us on what we can do.”

– Simon Sinek

Everything begins with an idea.

A willingness to create. A drive to excel through practice and passion.

I’ve been a facilitator for all of my working life. I’ve worked with people from all walks of life.

I’ve grown not just as a reader and writer of poems but as an artist with a trauma-enforced approach to arts facilitation, making me an empathetic and confident mentor and teacher.

My mentoring sessions are designed to help you enjoy creative writing,

Getting you closer to reaching your potential as a poet.

I want to create a space where we can critique your work in a productive fashion. A space where we can discuss where you want to go with your work and how we will get there.

So if you’re a beginner or a practicing poet… Get in touch.

How does it work?

Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced writer, my sessions combine feedback with coaching. What is stopping you from writing? What is your creative goal? What do you want to work towards? What does success look like?

I like to work with mentees for a minimum of 4 sessions. This allows us the time to think about where you are creatively and what you are searching for, as well as look closely at poems you are working on.

Each session lasts 2 hours and costs £100

4 sessions - £400

Arji is an engaging and generous teacher with a deep knowledge of contemporary poetry. He has helped me understand what sort of poems I want to write, and his honest and detailed feedback has helped me get them submission ready.”
