Workshops with the over-60’s

Working with EEA to create a weekly creative space for the local Greenwich community

In 2018 I was invited to run People’s Parlour, a group created by EEA for the local over-60’s community. Each week participants were able to engage with a multi-disciplinary practice which allowed them to try their hand at a range of exciting activities. From drama, textiles and music, to poetry, storytelling and debates. It was a wonderful project that unfortunately was unable to continue due to funding problems.

In this video,

  • Amaya from EEA explains the project.

  • The participants attempt to convince you to part with your money for a local lantern procession.

We ended up creating a beautiful lantern procession and a theatrical finale which attracted hundreds from the local area.
